The Necessity of Humility

Last week we began to look at Titus 3:4-7 which describes how God saves people out of their sin. This is a truth that needs to be proclaimed often especially since we live in a culture that is more and more leaving God out of the picture.

As Christians we need to be careful that we don’t look down on our culture with a condemning attitude. The only reason we are any different is because God saved us. It isn’t because we were smarter. It isn’t because we did something to save ourselves, but only because God in His kindness, mercy and love saved us. He gave us new life through the power of His Word.

Christians shouldn’t be surprised by what unbelievers do because those are the same kind of things we did before God saved us. As Christians we need to always maintain a humble attitude and tell others about our saving God.
