Preach the Word

You can listen to John MacArthur daily on "Grace to You." Dr. MacArthur is the President of The Master’s Seminary where I studied in preparation for ministry. One of the slogans of the seminary is, “We train men as if lives depended on it.” This slogan points to the seriousness of the ministry. We are dealing with issues of eternal significance.

Many may be familiar with Paul’s exhortation to Timothy to preach the word, but that wasn’t just Paul’s exhortation. The whole statement is, “I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by the appearing of His kingdom: preach the word.”

I’m sure Timothy got the point regarding how important this is. You and I need to realize the seriousness of the ministry.
