What is Saving Faith?

“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.” That is a simple, straight-forward statement. But because salvation is such an important issue, we must make sure we understand what it means to believe.

If we cut the scripture straight on this, we will find that there are three elements to a genuine, saving faith.

First, you must know the truth about Christ. You must know Who He is and what He has done.

Second, you must believe the truth about Christ. You have to acknowledge that what the Bible says about Him is right.

Third, you must personally commit yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ. He said deny yourself and follow Him.

Many know the facts about Christ and believe they are true, but have they totally committed themselves to the person of Christ?
