The Good News

The Bible tells us that by nature we are all enemies of God. We are hostile towards Him and we actively rebel against His rule over us. Left to ourselves we would all die in this condition and justly face the wrath of God for our sins.

That is the bad news.

The good news is that God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to bring about reconciliation between God and His enemies. Christ at His crucifixion experienced the wrath of God in the place of everyone who would ever believe in Him.

Those who trust in Christ, therefore, are at peace with God. Their sins are covered. Everyone in Christ is reconciled to God.
