Sunset Over Galilee

This was my favorite place in Israel. This is my favorite picture from our trip. This is the sun setting over the Sea Of Galilee.

Galilee is a peaceful, beautiful place. And to think, this is the area where Jesus did much of His ministry. This is the place where He calmed the storm. This is where He walked on the water. Jesus did so many miracles right around this place.

This is an amazing place to just think about our Lord. You are overwhelmed by thoughts of His power, wisdom, humility, love, and mercy. Remember the man who was possessed by a legion of demons? Remember how Jesus cast them out of the man and into a herd of pigs? Do you remember what those pigs did? They ran down the cliff and drowned in this body of water. I wish we had the DVD of that one!

Most amazingly, it is at the Sea of Galilee that Jesus told some fishermen, "Follow Me and I will make you become fishers of men." Those fishermen followed, He made them fishers of men and, as a result of their faithful ministry and what they passed on, I am a believer today.
