The Ministry

Wow, it's been a long time since I blogged. A lot of things have happened since you last heard from me. In the near future I hope to bring you up to date on all that has been going on.

I've been busy with a lot of ministry, which is good and ministry is definitely something I get to do, not got to do. In the picture I am teaching at the Shepherds' Conference which took place in early March. I taught a seminar called "Family Oversight." I encouraged the men to practice good, godly, biblical oversight of their families and not to let their families become an oversight, which can happen when you are consumed by the ministry. I was encouraged by the response of the men who attended and it was nice to see a good number of young men in the seminar. In fact, if you look closely you can see my son Bobby. My family has been a great joy to me and I will never regret the time I spent with our boys as they were growing up.

I had to leave the conference early because Roberta and I went on a trip to Israel. Next time I'll tell you about our time in the Promised Land. Shalom.

Hey Dad,

I thought your seminar was excellent, full of practical application for how to love and lead your family. You definitely have street cred on this subject!

Next year, they should let the seminar speakers get by without a coat and tie...
